Carlo Ancelotti’s future at Real Madrid remains up in the air, following their 4-2 loss at the hands of Girona. It was a performance that has become a regular sight in La Liga this season, and surely they are out of the title race now, even though Barcelona continue to stumble towards the finish line themselves.

The players seem to be struggling to perform at the same level in La Liga this season as they do in the UEFA Champions League or the Copa del Rey. At this point, it has become very important that the club end this campaign by winning one or both of those competitions.

Real Madrid fans have been left disappointed with Ancelotti’s side in La Liga this season after an outstanding campaign last time around. They have been anything but consistent and many fans have raised questions about the Italian’s future.

Ancelotti seems to be on the managerial hot seat in the eyes of many Real Madrid fans. On the other hand, he is believed to be the Brazil national team’s top target to be their next manager. Thus, it would be safe to say that his future is uncertain.

Real Madrid make Zinedine Zidane return decision

As reported by Foot Mercato, Real Madrid have already made contact with Zidane. If Ancelotti ever gave in to the Selecao’s advances, then a new coach would have to be found. And who better than the Frenchman?

Zidane has already enjoyed two successful stints as Real Madrid manager, guiding Los Blancos to the iconic Champions League three peat as well as many other titles along the way. He has been most recently linked with the PSG and Juventus jobs.

However a potential return to Santiago Bernabeu is not ruled out even though it could be complicated. Let’s see how things play out.
