Real Madrid got themselves a 4-2 win over Almeria to put some pressure on Barcelona in the La Liga title race. Karim Benzema got himself another hattrick while Rodrygo found the back of the net as well. It was not all positive for Los Blancos though, especially for Vinicius Jr, who picked up a yellow card as well as a knock on the day.

Vinicius appeared to suffer a blow in the match against Almeria. And ultimately, he was substituted off in the 82nd minute of the game.

Vinicius is one of Real Madrid’s most important players, if not the most important. So, the club will surely be hoping that he is fit and fine, heading into the most important part of the campaign. There is some good news in that regard, as it looks like the Brazilian expected to recover soon.

As reported by MARCA, Carlo Ancelotti said about the situation of Vinicius while speaking on DAZN:

"“He has had a blow to the knee, but it is nothing, I think in a couple of days he will recover well, he is sanctioned for the next game and he will be fine for the Cup final.”"

Thus, it looks like Vinicius was lucky to leave the game against Almeria with a minor knock and he should be fine in a couple of days. On the other hand, he picked up a yellow card on the day as well.

That will keep him out of the upcoming game against Real Sociedad through suspension. While normally it would be a blow, this time around, it is a chance for him to get some rest ahead of some huge matches.

Real Madrid’s next match after that is the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna. Three days after that they will be welcoming Manchester City to Santiago Bernabeu for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie. They will need someone like Vinicius to be available for both those games and fortunately, it looks like that will be the case.
