It was not the perfect performance but Real Madrid managed to get a 4-2 win and take home all three points against Almeria. Karim Benzema scored a first half hattrick while Rodrygo scored the other goal for Los Blancos. The result will put some pressure on Barcelona, who might be comfortably ahead in the league table but have been struggling for wins lately, having won just one of their past five games in all competitions.

On the other hand, there is some bad news for Real Madrid coming out of the game against Almeria. Two of their starters picked up yellow cards on the day, in the form of Vinicius Jr and Eduardo Camavinga.

Now, both are suspended for their upcoming game against Real Sociedad. It goes without saying that that is a major blow for Real Madrid.

Vinicius and Camavinga have been two of their best performers in recent times. And without them, the team could find the going difficult against Real Sociedad, especially when you consider how inconsistent Real Madrid have been in the league this season.

Vinicius has been one of the most consistent sources of goals and assists for Real Madrid once this season, alongside Benzema. One could argue that the Brazilian has taken his game up a level this time around, even when you consider how good he was in the previous campaign.

On the other hand, Camavinga has enjoyed a meteoric rise after the World Cup break. He was struggling for minutes in the first half of the campaign. But now, he is a nailed on starter.

The left flank consisting of Vinicius and Camavinga has proven to be Real Madrid’s biggest strength recently. Thus, it will be interesting to see how they do without both those players, against a strong Real Sociedad.
