Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players ever and arguably the very best in Real Madrid history. He spent nine years in the Spanish capital and established himself as one of the greatest of all-time during that period time, winning four Champions League titles, four Ballon d’Ors and a lot more.

Ronaldo would leave Real Madrid out of the blue in 2018 though, after they completed the iconic Champions League treble. In hindsight, that has proven to be a mistake.

Ronaldo would join Juventus, and while his run at the club was decent individually, they did not win the Champions League. The Portuguese superstar would make a blockbuster return to Manchester United in 2021 but that turned into a bit of a nightmare and ultimately ended with him being shown the exit a season-and-a-half later.

Ronaldo currently finds himself for Al-Nassr. But the Portuguese superstar is already being linked with a return to Europe, and particularly Real Madrid, but not in a playing role.

As reported by El Nacional, Real Madrid would offer Ronaldo a position as an ambassador for the club, or even be part of the sports organization chart. His cycle as a player in the Spanish capital is considered closed though.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Ronaldo at Al-Nassr. Individually, he has once again been decent for the club. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 12 goals and provided 2 assists in 15 appearances for them till now.

But as a team, Al-Nassr seem to have taken a step back since the arrival of Ronaldo. Many fans believe that that had been a case at Juventus and Manchester United as well. As a result, it would not make sense for Real Madrid to try and bring him back in a playing role in the future.
