Carlo Ancelotti has done lots of rotating this season with his starting line ups from one matchday to another. Due to the packed schedule as well as players dealing with dips in form and injuries, the Real Madrid manager has had to keep things fluid at all times and is yet to truly find his best eleven.

It is clear that Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior need some help in attack and the Italian manager has been trying many different players at right-wing to help them out. That includes players like Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard and Fede Valverde, with the Uruguayan being the most successful out of the three.

However, with Valverde being a natural midfielder, Ancelotti has had to think about a long-term solution on the right flank. And in recent months and weeks, it has looked like Rodrygo has started to emerge as the most suitable for that role.

In recent times, Ancelotti has been able to rely on Rodrygo to make a difference in the final third. And the Brazilian has delivered when given the chance.

As reported by Relevo, Rodrygo’s evolution has earned him a position as a regular starter. Ancelotti loves his style of play and the different variants he brings.

Last season the Brazilian was mainly used in the role of an impact substitute. However this season has been much different.

Rodrygo’s role at Real Madrid has changed massively since last season. He has gone from a super sub to forming a front three with Vinicius and Benzema. The Brazilian winger’s productivity has also improved in this campaign.

Of course, he is still just 22 years of age and there is room for improvement, especially when it comes to consistency. But overall, Rodrygo is certainly on the right path.
