Real Madrid appear to be headed for an exciting summer transfer window. Rumours broke out today that the club are close to agreeing a deal to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. That would be a Galactico signing in every sense of the word and has the potential to be an absolute masterstroke.

The English international is just 19 years of age and could very well be one of the best midfielders of his generation. Of course, he is not the only highly-rated youngster in Real Madrid’s sights.

They seem to be keeping an eye on a Manchester City player as well. That is none other than Julian Alvarez.

As reported by Fichajes, Real Madrid are looking for a young and talented player who can lead the forward line in the future. And it seems that they have found their target in Julian Alvarez. Signing him will not be easy though as he has long-term deal with Manchester City, who have no intentions of parting ways with the Argentine. However, Los Blancos are willing to do what it takes to sign him.

There is no question about the quality of Alvarez. He played a key part in Argentina winning the World Cup last year.

His time at Manchester City has not been as smooth though. He has shown his brilliance for them as well but is not a nailed on starter for the club. But then, they do have someone like Erling Haaland leading the line.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Alvarez has scored 15 goals and provided 5 assists in 42 appearances for Manchester City this season.

Most of Alvarez’s appearances for Manchester City have come off the bench though. Thus, could he look for a club where he will start more often in the future?
