Real Madrid’s squad is clearly in desperate need of reinforcements in a number of areas on the pitch. One of the main areas of concern for the club is in the defence, specifically at the full-back position on both flanks. With Dani Carvajal having a very up and down season and his form being all over the place, it could be time for Los Blancos to look for his successor as a matter of priority.

Carvajal is now 31 years of age and no longer the player that he was in his prime. Real Madrid lack a natural right-back replacement for the Spaniard though.

In today’s game, full-back is one of the most important positions on the pitch, something Real Madrid seem to recognise. And the club appear to have their eyes on a number of right-back targets, with one being a Bundesliga standout.

As reported by Sport BILD, Real Madrid have Jeremie Frimpong on their transfer wish list, when planning their squad for the coming season.

Frimpong seems to be one of the players on the radar of Real Madrid. The 22-year-old has managed to impress during his time in Bundesliga.

However, it feels like a move to England might be more likely for Frimpong at this point. The Dutchman has garnered a lot of interest from Premier League sides. Rumours have linked him heavily with a potential move to Manchester United. Thus, the club must have alternative targets to Frimpong.

Frimpong is one of the top young right-backs in the world and would be an absolute gem of a signing for Real Madrid. But it is quite clear that it will be very difficult to sign him. The Dutchman has been a standout for Bayer Leverkusen and was a success at Celtic before that as well.
