Real Madrid are heading towards an interesting summer transfer window. On one hand, the club have continue to achieve success on the pitch. They won the Copa del Rey just this weekend. But on the other hand, one cannot overlook the fact that they do not have much depth in their squad right now and must add to their options as soon as possible.

One of the areas where Real Madrid could do with reinforcements is right-back. They have plenty of options there but none of them appear to be long-term solutions.

Dani Carvajal is a club legend but he is no longer the player that he was at his peak. He will need to be replaced as the first-choice at right-back sooner or later. The club have the likes of Nacho, Lucas Vazquez and Alvaro Odriozola capable of playing there but none of them are long-term solutions in the position.

Thus, Real Madrid need to sign a right-back in the not too distant future. And a recent Tottenham Hotspur signing is being linked with them as a possible target.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid seem to be in search of a right-back. A number of names have circulated in recent weeks. One of them is Pedro Porro of Tottenham Hotspur.

That is a bit of a surprise to be honest. The club were linked with Porro in January as well. But ultimately, he went on to join Tottenham Hotspur instead.

As reported by Sky Sports, Porro completed an initial £5 million loan move to Tottenham Hotspur from Sporting Lisbon. The deal includes an obligation to buy for £39 million in the summer.

Thus, Real Madrid signing Porro in the summer does feel pretty unlikely. Of course, never say never in football.
