Real Madrid and Manchester City could not be separated in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final tie. Vinicius Junior gave Los Blancos the lead with a stunning strike, only for it to be cancelled out by a brilliant goal from Kevin De Bruyne. Ultimately, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Thus, both teams have everything to play for in the second leg. Real Madrid are aiming to win their fifteenth Champions League crown. On the other hand, Manchester City are still searching for their first triumph in the competition.

Most people would consider Manchester City as the slight favourites at this stage. Pep Guardiola’s side will have the home advantage in the second leg.

Of course, this Real Madrid team has the experience of navigating every type of situation. Thus, one would hope that they will rise up to the occasion once again, when the pressure is on. And heading into the second leg, they have been handed a timely advantage.

Real Madrid player could return vs Manchester City in second leg

As reported by Cadena SER (via 90min), Dani Ceballos has recovered from his injury and could play some part in Manchester.

Ceballos has established himself as an important player for Real Madrid this season. Originally, he was expected to leave at the end of this campaign as a free agent. But now, the Spaniard looks set to be handed an extension by Los Blancos.

As a result, his return would be a boost for Carlo Ancelotti’s side for sure. Ceballos certainly gives them a lot of quality in midfield and has also proven this season that he has the ability to turn around a game off the bench.

The second leg away in Manchester is expected to be very close. Thus, Real Madrid could do with any advantage they can get.
