Real Madrid have won the Copa del Rey and are still in the running for the Champions League, going into the second leg of the semi-finals. Thus, the club could end up having a very successful campaign. But at the same time, it is quite clear that Los Blancos need to strengthen their ranks in the summer.
They lack squad depth and options all across the pitch. And thus, they need to bring in reinforcements in multiple positions.
One such position is right-back. Dani Carvajal is no longer the player that he was in his prime. His form has been a worry for both club and country in recent times. On the other hand, Real Madrid do not have any long-term solution in the position. Nacho Fernandez and Lucas Vazquez are both past 30 years of age and Alvaro Odriozola is expected to leave in the summer.
Thus, the club could do with another right-back. And as reported by Fichajes, Real Madrid would be interested in Noussair Mazraoui, the Bayern Munich player who is seriously considering leaving the Bavarian team this summer.
Real Madrid interested in Bayern Munich player this summer
Mazraoui arrived at Bayern Munich last summer with heavy expectations surrounding him. But things have not gone as smoothly for the Moroccan international as was expected.
He has not been a regular feature for Bayern Munich. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Mazraoui has made 23 appearances and played 1308 minutes of football, assisting 4 times in the process.
Mazraoui has a ton of potential though and he is also 25 years of age, meaning that he is set to enter his prime. As a result, someone like him could be a great signing for Real Madrid and might potentially solve their right-back issue for years to come. Let’s see they end up making a move for him or not.
