Real Madrid close to agreeing blockbuster transfer

Real Madrid are in a great position right now. Even though they might have failed in their attempt to retain La Liga, they have won the Copa del Rey already and are still in the running for the UEFA Champions League as well, going into the second leg of the semi-finals against Manchester City in midweek.

If the club are able to finish this campaign with a double, then it should be considered as a major success. Especially when you consider the lack of depth and injuries that they have had to deal with throughout the course of the season.

At the same time though, they cannot ignore the clear need for reinforcements in the summer. And it looks like the club are already closing in on a signing, and it could be a big one.

As reported by 90min, everything seems to have been settled between Jude Bellingham and Real Madrid. Now it’s all about Borussia Dortmund. The parties are not far from concluding negotiations.

Signing someone like Bellingham would be a major coup for Real Madrid without doubt. The 19-year-old has the potential to be the best midfielder of his generation.

At 19 years of age, he is already considered amongst the best midfielders in the world. And the Englishman has proven himself at the top level for both club and country. He is a leader as well, having captained a team like Borussia Dortmund as a teenager.

Simply put, Bellingham ticks every box that any club could want in a midfielder. And it looks like he could be headed to Real Madrid this summer.

If Real Madrid are able to pull the move off, their midfield core for the future would be built up of Bellingham, Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni. That is an incredible already and none of them are close to their prime.
