The club might have continued to enjoy success in cup competitions, but there is no doubt that they have lacked consistency throughout the course of the season and often end up relying on individual brilliance to get them past the finish line in important games.

Not too long ago, Cancelo was considered as one of the best full-backs in the world. But he has faced some struggles after the World Cup break.

He lost his place in Manchester City’s starting XI and has been sent out on loan to Bayern Munich. Thus, his long-term future remains up in the air and it looks like Real Madrid might have the chance to sign the Portuguese international in the summer. Following his recent struggles, it is even possible that the 28-year-old could be available for a bargain transfer fee.
