Real Madrid will need to bring in reinforcements all over the pitch in the summer. And it looks like the club are closing in on a move for Jude Bellingham. The Borussia Dortmund star is considered amongst the best midfielders in the game at just 19 years of age. Thus, signing him would be considered as a major coup on the part of Los Blancos.

At the same time, it looks like the club have their eye on another midfielder. It is none other than Gabri Veiga of Celta Vigo.

Veiga is currently enjoying a breakout campaign in La Liga. As a result, he is rumoured to have drawn the interest of Spanish giants like Real Madrid and Barcelona, as well as several Premier League clubs.

Veiga is just 20 years of age and has sky high potential. Thus, it is not hard to understand why so many top clubs want to sign him. And it seems like Real Madrid have a transfer plan.

As tweeted out by Madrid Xtra, Cope sources say Veiga is still on the radar of Real Madrid. The club is considering signing him now for a €30 million transfer fee and loaning him out for a season.

It is believed that Veiga has a release clause around €40 million in his current deal with Celta Vigo. And it seems that Real Madrid could try to bring that figure down. Let’s see how things work out.

There is very little doubt that Veiga is a supreme talent. But that also means that there is plenty of interest in his signature. So Real Madrid might have a tough time getting a deal done for the Spaniard, especially as his first-team prospects could be higher elsewhere. The situation is interesting to say the very least.
