Carlo Ancelotti has done a lot of rotating with his line ups this season, and is potentially still to determine what Real Madrid’s best starting XI is. It seems that he is still trying to find the right balance between defence, midfield, and attack. And the Italian has not been helped by the up-and-down form of some of the players.

At the moment, the front three seems to be Vinicius Junior, Karim Benzema and Rodrygo. Ancelotti has had to do some rotating at the back, mainly due to suspensions and injuries, but he seems to have largely settled on a defensive structure as well. However the area on the pitch where the Italian has to do the most thinking is midfield.

Ancelotti has a plethora of midfield talent to pick from and due to that, some will have to accept less minutes than others. Recently, he has gone with a Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Fede Valverde midfield trio and they have done great. However, since returning from the World Cup, one Real Madrid midfielder has seen his minutes drop. That is none other than Aurelien Tchouameni.

As reported by Relevo, Tchouameni does not plan to move in the next window. Despite of rumours of an interest from Liverpool or PSG, he just wants to continue at Real Madrid.

The Frenchman seems to be aware that adapting to a new team and league can be difficult and he welcomes the challenge. Since returning from the World Cup, Tchouameni has gradually lost his place in the starting XI.

With Kroos, Valverde and Modric in the team, it has been difficult for Tchouameni to get minutes recently. At the same time though, one cannot overlook that the veteran duo are in the twilight of their careers.

On the other hand, it seems like Jude Bellingham is closing in on a move to Real Madrid. And if that does happen, what impact would it have on the position of Tchouameni in the squad?
