Real Madrid could do with reinforcements all over the pitch. As the UEFA Champions League semi-final tie against Manchester City showed, Los Blancos need to improve if they want to keep up with some of the biggest teams in Europe, who have incredible depth in almost every position. On the other hand, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have often had to rely on individual brilliance and moments of magic.

One area where they definitely need more options is striker. Karim Benzema is a top player without doubt but at 35 years of age, Father Time is starting to catch up with him.

He has struggled to consistently remain fit this season. And that has had an effect on his performances as well. Yet, Real Madrid do not have proper back up for him. Mariano Diaz, the only other recognised centre-forward in the squad is also set to leave in the summer.

Thus, Real Madrid need to add to their forward options this summer. And it looks like they might have a Tottenham Hotspur player in their sights.

As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Richarlison is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. Ancelotti wants Los Blancos to sign the Brazilian international.

It was just las summer that Richarlison joined Tottenham Hotspur from Everton in a high profile move. Unfortunately, things have not worked out for him in London, as the Brazilian has struggled badly in front of goal.

With goals dried up, it is possible that Richarlison could be available for a bargain fee next summer. Ancelotti knows him well from their time together at Everton. And despite the Brazilian’s bad form since joining Tottenham Hotspur, the Italian manager might fancy his prospects of getting the best out of him at Santiago Bernabeu.
