Real Madrid need to strengthen in the summer all across the pitch. One of the areas in need of reinforcements is striker. Karim Benzema is an all-time legend and remains one of the best in world football on his day. But unfortunately, Father Time is starting to catch up with the Frenchman. He is 35 years of age and has struggled with a series of injuries this season.

Thus, Benzema’s minutes need to be managed at this stage of his career to get the best out of him and to make sure that he remains fit. Unfortunately though, the club do not have proper back up for him. And Mariano Diaz, the only other recognised forward in the squad, looks set to leave this summer as well.

Thus, Real Madrid could definitely do with another striker. And one of the players that they have been linked with recently is Dusan Vlahovic.

There seems to be competition for his signature though. As reported by ESPN, Chelsea have made Vlahovic their No. 1 target for the summer, making an €80 million offer for the Serbian international.

Chelsea have splashed out heavily since their change in ownership but have failed to get results on the pitch. The club are set to have their worst season of this century.

They are expected to add to their ranks in the summer once again. Especially with Mauricio Pochettino looking set to become the club’s next manager. And with their lack of a reliable goalscorer, it is not hard to see why Chelsea might be looking towards someone like Vlahovic.

On the other hand, Vlahovic has failed to settle at Juventus, and does not feel like Massimiliano Allegri’s style of football is the right fit for him. As a result, he could be on the move in the summer. But with Real Madrid believed to be closing in on a move for Jude Bellingham, it is hard to see them making a move for the Serbian striker as well.
