Real Madrid and Liverpool have been involved in several high profile and important games in recent years. That includes two Champions League finals, with Los Blancos coming out on top on both occasions. Even this season, they met in the last 16 of the competition, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side getting a comfortable victory over the two legs.

Off the pitch, the two teams seem to be involved as well. Both were believed to be after the signature of Jude Bellingham, although it looks like the Englishman is headed to Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.

Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for Roberto Firmino, with the Brazilian set to be available as a free agent in the summer. And it looks like another Liverpool player is also in their sights.

As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Real Madrid are hoping to improve their defensive options this summer and have identified Andrew Robertson as a potential target.

Robertson has had an inspirational journey in football. Having failed to make the grade at Celtic, he found himself at Queen’s Park and then Dundee United. After that, he would make the move down south to join Hull City. The club had an up and down time though, bouncing between the Premier League and the Championship.

Robertson was impressive enough to earn himself a move to Liverpool though. And while the move was not a glamourous one, it has certainly paid off for the Reds.

Robertson has been able to establish himself as a Liverpool icon and has been a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s team, and their successes. He has not had a great campaign this time around though. If he was to depart Anfield, then the Reds would look for a transfer fee between €45 million to €50 million.
