Real Madrid find themselves in need of bringing in reinforcements all across the pitch in the summer. Goalkeeper is not one of them though. The club arguably have the best one in the world in the form of Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian has most probably been Los Blancos’ best player this season.

Real Madrid could be in search of cover at goalkeeper though. We have seen Courtois pick up a few minor issues through the course of the campaign.

Andriy Lunin has filled in for him on those occasions. But his performances have dropped this season and there have also been rumours that he could be on his way out in the summer, in search of regular playing time, as it is quite clear that Courtois will be Real Madrid’s number one between the posts for the foreseeable future.

As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Dominik Livakovic is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. Los Blancos are ready to shell out €5 million to sign him in the summer.

Livakovic is 28 years of age and has not been a major name in the European game for the majority of his career. He grew in prominence at the recent World Cup though.

Livakovic was superb for the Croatian national team and played a major part in their run to the semi-finals of the competition. Thus, it should not be a major surprise if a big club go for him this summer.

If Lunin does leave in the summer, as is expected to be the case, then someone like Livakovic could be the perfect signing for Real Madrid. He has proven himself at the highest level for his national team and is more than good enough to provide back up for Courtois in goal.
