3 players Real Madrid could sign instead of Kylian Mbappe
Karim Benzema has been a great player for Real Madrid since his arrival in 2009. The Frenchman has been playing some of his best football in the past few seasons, ultimately winning the 2022 Ballon D’Or. However, in this campaign, he has struggled with injuries causing his form to be very inconsistent.
It is finally looking like Father Time is starting to catch up with the Benzema. And as tweeted out by El Chiringuito TV, Real Madrid will sign a forward.
The name that has been mentioned with regards to Real Madrid, for what seems like forever now, has been that of Kylian Mbappe. However, any deal would be difficult to pull off.
The relationship between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain is not believed to rosy. And, it feels unlikely that the two clubs would negotiate over the transfer of Mbappe.
3 players Real Madrid could sign instead of Mbappe
Let us take a look at some Mbappe alternatives that Real Madrid could look to bring to Santiago Bernabeu:
Victor Osimhen
Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world right now. The Nigerian has had a glittering season in Serie A this time around, helping guide Napoli to their first league title since Diego Maradona was at the club.
He would be an excellent signing for Real Madrid to lead the forward line for years to come. However, with Napoli believed to be looking for a transfer fee around €150 million to part ways with their striker, a potential move for Osimhen could be tricky.
Dusan Vlahovic
Vlahovic is another highly-rated young striker in Europe mentioned with a potential move away from his current club. The Serbian international has had a bit of a slow season at Juventus, but that is somewhat understandable as Massimiliano Allegri’s tactics are not the best fit for him.
Vlahovic could prosper with a fresh start elsewhere. His name has been linked with Bayern Munich and Chelsea recently. But Real Madrid might be a great place for him to get his career back on track as well.
Randal Kolo Muani
Kolo Muani is a player being linked with a potential move to a top European club this summer. The Bundesliga standout has had a tremendous season and put his name on the map.
The French international has been linked with clubs like Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and yes, even Real Madrid. Los Blancos would face stiff competition from teams across Europe, especially with Eintracht Frankfurt believed to be looking for a €100 million transfer fee.
