Real Madrid are heading towards a very important summer transfer window. This season, it has become clear that they are in need of more depth, if they want to compete with the truly elite teams in European football. And it appears that Los Blancos plan to do exactly that. As reported by 90min, Los Blancos are close to agreeing the terms of a deal to sign Bellingham this summer. Meetings in Germany this week have seen Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund agree the structure worth an initial €100 million transfer fee, with a further €50 million in add-ons,

It is safe to say that that is great news for Real Madrid. If the move goes through, it will be one of the most expensive transfers in football history.

At the same time though, splashing out that kind of a figure on Bellingham might very well be worth it. At 19 years of age, he is considered amongst the best midfielders in the world and he has the potential to be a Ballon d’Or contender for years to come.
