Real Madrid already find themselves in a tight situation going into the summer transfer window. They might have won the Copa del Rey, but their La Liga title defence proved to be a complete failure. On top of that, they were knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester City, 5-1 on aggregate, as Pep Guardiola’s side played them off the park in the second leg of the semi-finals.

Thus, Real Madrid certainly need to strengthen their squad in the summer. And yet, it looks like one of their most important players could be on his way out instead.

As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Karim Benzema has received a big proposal from Saudi club. Real Madrid have been informed by the Frenchman’s camp that he is seriously considering that and he will decide soon.

Of course, Benzema has been Real Madrid’s best player since Cristiano Ronaldo left the club in 2018. And if he was to depart in the summer, then they would need to find a replacement in the summer, as they do not have many options up top in the first place.

If Benzema does end up leaving Real Madrid in the summer, then a perfect replacement could be available for Los Blancos. And that would be none other than Harry Kane.

Kane’s current deal with Tottenham Hotspur runs out in the summer of 2024. And there have been suggestions that the club are ready to let him go in the upcoming transfer window, rather than seeing him leave for nothing a year later.

Several Premier League clubs are believed to be chasing his signature. But if Real Madrid do make a move for Kane, they might have an advantage in the race for the England captain, as Tottenham Hotspur surely would prefer to let him join the Spanish giants over direct rivals.
