Karim Benzema could leave Real Madrid this summer. That is something that not many expected even a week ago but now, it is looking like a very real possibility. If the Ballon d’Or was to leave then the club would need bring in a world-class striker to replace him. Recent rumours have suggested that Joselu will be arriving on a season-long loan but he is not the guy to lead the for Los Blancos, and would be more of a cover option.

One player who could be perfect for Real Madrid, if Benzema does indeed leave this summer, is Harry Kane. The Englishman is expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are not expected to stand in his way either, with his current deal set to run out in the summer of 2024. And someone like Kane would be a brilliant signing for Real Madrid, although they would face plenty of competition for his signature.

Several top clubs are believed to eyeing a move for Kane. But one would hope that Tottenham Hotspur prefer to let him join a club like Real Madrid rather than ending up at one of their direct rivals in the Premier League.

Of course, it would take a big transfer fee to sign a proven goalscorer like Kane. He is believed to rated at a figure around €100 million. Real Madrid could look to bring that number down by including players as part of a deal.

As reported by Cadena SER, Francisco Jose Delgado said:

"“In the operation ‘cheapening of Kane’ we have given the name of Hazard. I’m going to put another one on the table: Ferland Mendy, who could become part of all the conversations.”"

Mendy is a player Real Madrid are rumoured to be open to parting ways with this summer. The Frenchman has struggled with form and fitness this season, and has lost his place in the starting XI. On the other hand, Fran Garcia is set to arrive in the summer.
