Arguably the two biggest clubs in football, the names of Manchester United and Real Madrid have been interlinked over the years. Not too long ago, superstars used to make the move from Old Trafford to Santiago Bernabeu. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and Ruud van Nistelrooy fall under that category.

In recent years, that seems to have shifted in the opposite direction though. Club legends like Raphael Varane and Casemiro have joined Manchester United.

Of course, the two often end up being linked with the same players as well. And Manchester United have been handed a transfer blow, as it looks like one of their targets might be looking to make a move to Real Madrid.

Manchester United are rumoured to be interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani this summer. But as reported by MARCA (via Mirror), the Frenchman has ‘offered’ himself to Real Madrid.

Of course, that does not mean that Kolo Muani will end up at Santiago Bernabeu this summer. On the contrary, it would be a major surprise if Real Madrid make a move for the Frenchman in the upcoming transfer window.

Do not get us wrong, Kolo Muani is a fantastic talent. His 40 goal contributions this season for Eintracht Frankfurt speak for themselves.

But the latest update on Karim Benzema suggests that he will be staying on at Real Madrid for another season. On the other hand, the club are believed to be close to signing Joselu on a loan deal as well.

In that situation, it is hard to see Real Madrid signing another striker this summer. Instead, it feels more likely that they would try to sign the long-term successor to Benzema after the 2023/24 campaign. If Kolo Muani is available at that point of time, then he could be someone that Los Blancos consider for that role.
