This summer seems to be one of change for Real Madrid. With the club lacking in depth at the moment, they are expected to make additions to their squad. They have already agreed a deal to bring in Fran Garcia from Rayo Vallecano while a deal for Jude Bellingham is expected to be only a matter of time. More signings are expected as well.

On the other hand, there could be a few heading out of Santiago Bernabeu as well. And it looks like Marco Asensio falls under that category.

Asensio has been a key contributor for Real Madrid this season, especially in the second half of the campaign. And the hope was that he would sign a contract extension with the club. Recent rumours have suggested though that he will leave. And now, there seems to be some clarity over his destination.

As reported by MARCA, all roads lead to Asensio playing for Paris Saint-Germain next season. After turning down Aston Villa, the Spaniard will be a PSG player with a long-term contract, which is what has been negotiated between the two parties.

Lionel Messi is set to leave PSG this summer while Neymar could possibly be on his way out as well. As a result, this might be a good time for Asensio to join the French giants.

Asensio is coming off of his best campaign in a Real Madrid shirt. He had really proven his worth to the team as the season progressed and had become a player that Ancelotti relied on to deliver the goods.

His performances this season seem to have earned him a move to PSG. Let’s see if it goes over the line or not. It is worth pointing out that his contract runs out after this campaign and he will be moving on a free transfer.
