Real Madrid are in need of a summer rebuild. The club were lacking in depth already and the likes of Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz have left. There could be more exits to come as well. On the other hand, the fans will be hoping for plenty of arrivals as well, as reinforcements are needed in multiple positions.

Fran Garcia is set to arrive, and a loan deal for Joselu is believed to be close as well. A blockbuster deal for Jude Bellingham also seems like only a matter of time. And it looks like Real Madrid have a Chelsea player in their sights.

Kai Havertz has been on the radar of Real Madrid for a long time, even before he joined Chelsea. And with the Blues in need of outgoings, this could be the perfect opportunity for Los Blancos to bring him in.

There seem to be big steps in the positive direction as well. As tweeted out by Felix Johnston, Havertz has verbally agreed personal terms with Real Madrid. The club have told his camp that they will make a transfer bid to Chelsea for him soon. Still no contact between the clubs though.

Havertz’s time at Chelsea has not been the grand success it was expected to be. But there is no question about his quality.

The Premier League has seemed a bit too intense and fast paced for Havertz. But he could be a big success in La Liga if he joins Real Madrid.

At the same time, he has proven himself to be a big game player as well. He scored the UEFA Champions League winner for Chelsea against Manchester City. And he also scored the winning goal for them in the Club World Cup final as well.
