Karim Benzema’s time at Santiago Bernabeu has come to an end and he marked his last match for Real Madrid with a goal. Now, the club are in need of another striker to lead the line though. And with the Frenchman’s exit coming somewhat out of the blue, Los Blancos are not in the ideal situation to find a replacement for him.

Interestingly though, an ideal striker might be available this summer to replace Benzema. And that is none other that Tottenham Hotspur icon and England national team captain, Harry Kane.

Kane has been one of the best strikers on the planet for years now. But his time at Tottenham Hotspur has not brought him any silverware. Now 29 years of age, he looks ready for a new adventure and with just a year left on his deal, the club are not expected to stand in his way.

As reported by The Mail+, Real Madrid are set to test Kane’s desire to become the Premier League’s all-time highest goalscorer with a £100 million transfer bid for him.

Let’s see what the future holds for Kane. Manchester United are believed to be very interested in him as well. There have been suggestions though that Tottenham Hotspur are reluctant to let him join a domestic rival and that could play into Real Madrid’s hands.

Kane is someone who has the ability to drop deep and combine with his teammates, while also scoring at a brilliant rate. He managed 30 Premier League goals in the 2022/23 campaign despite playing for an underperforming Tottenham Hotspur side.

Thus, keeping all the factors in mind, Kane could be the perfect striker to take Benzema’s place in the team. Now, it remains to be seen if Real Madrid are able to sign him or not.
