Real Madrid find themselves in an interesting situation right now. There is no question about the quality of their squad, which is going to be further increased with the arrival of Jude Bellingham, another major coup for Los Blancos. At the same time though, it is also true that they simply do not have the depth required to compete with Europe’s elite teams.
Their depth was reduced further as well. It has already been announced that Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard and Mariano Diaz.
It goes without saying that Benzema will be the biggest miss out of those four. The Frenchman might be 35 years of age, and has struggled with injury problems as well, but he remains one of the best strikers in the world. Despite facing so many hurdles, he scored 31 goals across all competitions last season.
It will not be easy to replace the Ballon d’Or holder. But it does look like Real Madrid have some big plans in store.
Real Madrid are close to signing €100 million striker
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Harry Kane is fast approaching Real Madrid. The recent meeting has led to a general agreement and only a few details are missing to be perfected. We are really very close to the final agreements.
Of course, there have been rumours to the contrary as well. Some sources have suggested that Real Madrid are less than optimistic about their chances of signing Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Thus, the only thing we can do is wait and see. In our opinion though, it does make a lot of sense for Tottenham Hotspur to let Kane join Real Madrid. That way, he will not end up at a direct Premier League rival.
On the other hand, joining Real Madrid will give Kane the chance to compete for silverware consistently as well. That is the only thing missing on his resume.
