After the conclusion of Real Madrid’s 2022/23 campaign, a number of players will be leaving the club, and that will leave many gaps all over the squad. Those holes will clearly need to be filled or else Los Blancos will risk falling further behind the elite clubs in Europe. The forward line is clearly lacking in depth after the departures of Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard.

At the current moment, the only two established forwards that Real Madrid have are Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo. Clearly having only the duo is not going to be enough and the club need to provide them with some help.

There have been many world-class names linked with Real Madrid to come in and start up front with Vini and Rodrygo. However, the club will also need to bring in players for the bench to increase the squad depth and help with rotation. And it looks like they have their eyes on a Spain international.

As reported by Cope (via The Hard Tackle), Rodrigo Moreno is the subject of interest from Real Madrid.

Rodrigo is not the only Spanish international who has been linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu lately. Joselu is another player who Real Madrid are rumoured to be looking at to replace Mariano Diaz and help to increase the squad depth.

Rodrigo is rumoured to be available for just a transfer fee around €3.5 million, as Leeds United were relegated from the Premier League. That would be a very reasonable figure for a player who has plenty of La Liga experience under his belt. In fact, he came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid as well.

The Spaniard would obviously not be the starting number 9 for the club if he were to come in. However, the stats that he has for his previous clubs show that he would be a fairly good option to add to the squad.
