Real Madrid have been plenty of big name players in recent days and weeks. And it is not hard to see why. Squad depth was considered to be a major issue for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, even before the likes of Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz left. Thus, expect to see some signings this summer.

Fran Garcia’s arrival has been announced by the club already. A deal for Jude Bellingham also seems to be all but done. More reinforcements are needed though.

One player who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid lately is Kai Havertz. The German might have failed to meet expectations over the past three years at Chelsea, but he remains one of the most highly rated talents in the world.

It looks like Chelsea want a big transfer fee to let him go though. And that could prove to be a problem for Real Madrid, who are believed to be shelling out a lot to sign Bellingham and are in need of a world-class striker to replace Benzema.

Real Madrid ready to pay €50 million fee for Chelsea player

As reported by Sport1, Real Madrid would be willing to pay a maximum of €50 million for Havertz. Chelsea is hoping for at least €60 million for the German. In addition, there would be bonus payments.

Thus, a move to Real Madrid seems unlikely for Havertz at this point of time. It remains to be seen if anything changes as the summer progresses.

While Havertz has struggled with the intensity of the Premier League at times, it does feel like someone like him would be a good fit at Real Madrid. He has all the technical ability required to be one of the best in the world and La Liga might be the perfect place for him.
