Real Madrid need to make plenty of additions this summer. And they are well on their way to doing that, having already announced the arrivals of Jude Bellingham and Fran Garcia. On the other hand, Brahim Diaz is returning after three seasons on loan at AC Milan, so he would be pretty much like a new signing as well.

One area where Real Madrid do need to improve immediately is striker. Karim Benzema recently brought an unexpected end to his run at Santiago Bernabeu by joining Al-Ittihad, when expectations were that he would stay on for another season.

Despite being 35 years of age and struggling to stay fit, Benzema was a big contributor for Real Madrid last season, scoring 31 goals. Thus, they need to bring in a world-class striker to replace the Frenchman in the squad.

One player they have been linked with heavily is Harry Kane. And now, it looks like Manchester United have handed them a boost in the chase for the Tottenham Hotspur superstar.

As reported by The Guardian, Manchester United have brought an end to their interest in signing Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. They feel the transfer package it would take to bring him to Old Trafford is unrealistic.

Kane is arguably the best striker in the world right now. He scored 30 Premier League goals last season, even in an underperforming Tottenham Hotspur team. That is exceptional to say the least.

If Real Madrid are able to sign him, then it would be a major coup. Tottenham Hotspur are believed to rate him at a transfer fee around €100 million. That would be a steep figure to shell out, especially after signing Bellingham in a blockbuster deal. Also, the situation of Kylian Mbappe at PSG might have changed the entire scenario as well.
