Real Madrid have been put in an interesting situation following the latest Kylian Mbappe news. It looks like the Frenchman has informed Paris Saint-Germain that he won’t be staying at the club beyond the summer of 2024. As a result, PSG might have to part ways with him in the upcoming transfer window or risk seeing him leave as a free agent a year later.

Of course, it is no secret that Real Madrid have tried to sign Mbappe over the years. But a move has not materialised over the years. Could that be about to change this summer?

Real Madrid and PSG are believed to share a frosty relationship at the moment. That could make negotiations difficult. But the French club are in a difficult situation right now and might have to be open to all possibilities.

It would take a huge transfer fee to sign Mbappe though. And Los Blancos appear to be open to including players in the deal.

Real Madrid player could leave as part of Mbappe deal

As reported by The Telegraph (via 90min), Real Madrid are willing to offer Aurelien Tchouameni as a makeweight in any deal to sign Mbappe.

Tchouameni was signed by Real Madrid just last summer from AS Monaco. He made a bright start to life at Santiago Bernabeu as well but appeared to fade away as the season progressed, ultimately losing his status as a nailed on starter in Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Interestingly, PSG were one of the clubs believed to be interested in signing Tchouameni last summer before he ended up joining Real Madrid. Thus, could there be still interest in the midfielder and could that help make a move for Mbappe happen? Only time shall tell but it does look like this is going to be an exciting summer transfer window for Los Blancos fans.
