With all of the confirmed departures from Real Madrid this summer, the club will need to bring in new players to help reshape the squad for the future. There are several areas where they were lacking options already. And the departures of key players like Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio have added to that.

Along with the forward line, Real Madrid’s defence is certainly in need of some reinforcements, particularly at right-back. Dani Carvajal has been a great player for the club, however Father Time may be catching up to the Spaniard.

Real Madrid must look to strengthen in both areas. And it looks like Carlo Ancelotti already has his eyes set on a few players.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Ancelotti wants Real Madrid to sign PSG right-back, Achraf Hakimi, and Inter Milan striker, Lautaro Martinez.

After the departure of Benzema, the club is without a first-choice number 9 up front. And Lautaro could be the perfect replacement for the Frenchman. His numbers last season reflect his success, scoring 28 goals in all competitions for Inter Milan, as they won the Coppa Italia and reached the Champions League final.

In regards to Hakimi, rumours have suggested that the Moroccan international would like to return to Real Madrid one day. He came through the ranks at the club but was surprisingly allowed to leave before ever making a real impact at the senior level.

Both players would require transfer fees somewhere in the range of €80 million to €100 million. So it would be difficult for Real Madrid to sign the duo, especially after the arrival of Jude Bellingham already in this window. Also, a deal to bring Hakimi is expected to be particularly tough, considering the rumoured frosty relationship of the club with PSG these days.
