Real Madrid player could leave in €60 million deal this summer
Real Madrid are in depth at this point of time. That was one of the big issues for them last season. With five substitutions in play, having options has become even more important in football these days and that is one of the biggest reasons why teams like Manchester City are thriving. If Los Blancos are to compete with them and other elite European teams, then they will need to bring in reinforcements this summer.
The club have made a few signings already. They have brought in Jude Bellingham, Fran Garcia and Joselu. On the other hand, Brahim Diaz will be like a new signing as well, as he has spent the previous three seasons on loan with AC Milan.
The arrival of Garcia could pave the way for Ferland Mendy to leave the club though. The Frenchman has been linked with a move away for some time now, having struggled with both form and fitness.
As reported by Fichajes (via The Hard Tackle), Real Madrid would be ready to let Mendy go if a suitor shells out around €60 million to sign him.
Real Madrid player could leave in €60 million deal
Mendy is one of the best defensive full-backs in the world. At the same time though, there have always been question marks over his game going forward.
Garcia came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid before leaving for Rayo Vallecano. There he has proven himself as one of the best left-backs in La Liga. And there is a good possibility that he might be starter come next season.
That would leave Mendy in an interesting situation for sure. His current deal runs till the summer of 2025. Thus, it would be a major coup if Real Madrid could get a €60 million transfer fee out of his exit but it is hard to see any club shell out that kind of a figure for the Frenchman.
