Real Madrid need to bring in reinforcements this summer, especially in the forward areas. The club saw Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Mariano Diaz and Marco Asensio leave at the end of last season. That has left them with very few options in the final third of the pitch. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo do not have anything in the name of cover on the wings while Joselu has been brought in on a season-loan deal recently.

It is quite clear the Los Blancos need more options in that area of the pitch, if they are to even be competitive next season. And in that respect, they might have the opportunity to pull off a transfer masterstroke this summer.

Paulo Dybala joined AS Roma last summer, when his career appeared to be at a crossroads. The Argentine proved himself to be a top player in the Italian capital though.

Dybala put up some impressive numbers for AS Roma last season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 18 goals and provided 8 assists in 38 appearances in the 2022/23 campaign.

Those kind of numbers are drawing the attention of some top clubs. As reported by Fichajes, Barcelona closely monitor the situation of Dybala.

Real Madrid should try to sign Dybala as well. He is someone who can add both goals and assists in the final third of the pitch. And at 29 years of age, he is in the middle of his prime as a footballer.

Also, and perhaps most importantly, Dybala is believed to have a €12 million release clause for overseas clubs in his contract with AS Roma. Signing a footballer of that quality for such a transfer fee would have been considered an incredible bargain in today’s circumstances. It is too good of a deal for Real Madrid to pass up on in the summer.
