£65 million Real Madrid target will join Arsenal this week
Real Madrid have been linked with a long list of names in recent weeks and months. That should come as no surprise though considering the fact that lack of depth has been a major issue for Los Blancos for some time now. And they have quite a few additions as well, signing Jude Bellingham and Fran Garcia while Joselu has been brought in on a season-long loan. Brahim Diaz will be like a new arrival as well, as he spent the past three seasons on loan at AC Milan.
On the other hand, there have been some targets that Real Madrid have missed out on. One of them is Kai Havertz.
Havertz is a player that Real Madrid have been linked with for years now, even before he joined Chelsea. And this summer, there were rumours of there being interest in the German international once again. But, he is headed to Arsenal instead.
As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Havertz has already completed the first part of the medical tests with Arsenal and is just waiting for the contracts to be signed on club side. The deal will be completed this week.

Havertz was considered as one of the biggest talents in Europe while coming through the ranks at Bayer Leverkusen. He has not quite been able to reach those heights during his time at Chelsea.
Yes, he had his big moments, like scoring the Champions League-winning goal as well as the Club World Cup winner. But overall, he has not matched the expectations that he had arrived with.
Many have felt that the Premier League is a bit too fast and intense for his style of play, and La Liga would suit him much better. But it looks like Havertz is set to remain in London.
