Real Madrid find themselves in an interesting situation right now. On one hand, there is no question about the quality in this squad. They have legends like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, players in their prime like Thibaut Courtois and rising superstars like Vinicius Jr, Eduardo Camavinga, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham and more.

But at the same time, it is also clear that Real Madrid need to bring in reinforcements this summer. Lack of depth is their biggest weakness at this point of time.

One area where they are stacked though is midfield. With three positions up for grabs, they have seven very capable players in Modric, Kroos, Bellingham, Camavinga, Dani Ceballos, Aurelien Tchouameni and Fede Valverde.

Some fans believe that Valverde might be the odd one out following the arrival of Bellingham. There does not seem to be any lack of interest in signing the Uruguayan midfielder though, if Real Madrid are willing to let him go.

Liverpool ready to offer €70 million for Real Madrid player

As reported by El Nacional, Liverpool are willing to sign Valverde for €70 million. Now, it is up to Real Madrid to make a decision.

Valverde has certainly shown signs of progress under the management of Carlo Ancelotti. Last season, he was able to add goals to his game, cross double digits. And early on in the campaign, when he was on top form, he was playing like one of the best midfielders on the planet.

That form did fade away in the second half of the campaign though. We have now seen how good Valverde can be at his best. It is about producing that football on a consistent basis though.

It might not be the right time to consider letting Valverde go. Although, Ancelotti will need to figure out how to give enough playing time to all seven midfielders.
