Liverpool hand Kylian Mbappe blow to Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for years now. And it has looked close on numerous occasions, but never materialised. Now though, many feel that a move to Santiago Bernabeu is inevitable, whether this summer or the next, after it emerged that the Frenchman is not ready to extend his contract with PSG.

Mbappe’s current deal with PSG runs till the summer of 2024. That means that they need to part ways with him soon, or risk losing him for nothing a year later.

While the situation might be difficult for PSG, Mbappe holds pretty much all the cards in this situation. And it will be interesting to see what he decides to do next.

A move to Real Madrid is the most likely step for his career. We have been surprised before in the long-running Mbappe transfer saga though. And it looks like Liverpool are another club with ambitions of signing the French World Cup winner.

"“Liverpool is competing with Real Madrid and wants to pay a fortune for Mbappé.”"

Of course, Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world as well. And the opportunity to play in the Premier League would be tempting for any player.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool do indeed end up making a move for Mbappe this summer or not. Real Madrid fans will be surely keeping a close eye on the situation though.

At the moment, the belief is that Real Madrid are in the driving seat when it comes to the Mbappe transfer situation. But things can change very quickly in football, as we have seen before in this very saga. Thus, it would be a mistake to take anything for granted before we see the Frenchman holding up the Royal White jersey.
