Real Madrid are in need of a striker right now, after they saw Karim Benzema leave the club at the end of the previous campaign, bringing an end to his legendary run in the Royal White jersey. Los Blancos have brought in Joselu on a loan deal since then, but the Spaniard is not the type of player that fans would expect to see as their main man up top for the entire 2023/24 season.

There have been rumours recently about Carlo Ancelotti changing his formation to 4-4-2, with Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo playing as a duo up top. That is not the ideal solution though.

The best case scenario would be Real Madrid bringing in a world-class striker this summer. But with hopes of signing Kylian Mbappe, the club might prefer to wait for the Frenchman.

A move to Real Madrid seems almost inevitable for Mbappe. But it might not happen before the summer of 2024. What will the club do next season though? Well, they might have an interesting solution to their problem.

As reported by SPORT, Dusan Vlahovic is said to be an option for Real Madrid, provided that Juventus agrees to loan him for a season. Los Blancos would cover the player’s salary and could provide a compensation fee for the deal.

Thus, it looks like Real Madrid are looking at Vlahovic as a short-term fix, if Mbappe does not arrive this summer. And it remains to be seen if the club are to pull such a deal off.

Vlahovic was considered one of the best young strikers in Europe not too long ago, and still is in that category in the eyes of many. But his time at Juventus has been a disappointment and there is uncertainty about his future in Turin.
