Real Madrid lack in depth in several positions across the pitch. They are stacked in one position though and it is their midfield. The club have youngsters like Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham and Aurelien Tchouameni. They also have all-time legends like Toni Kroos and Luka Modric as well as players like Fede Valverde and Dani Ceballos, who are entering their primes.

Thus, everybody getting playing time next season might be an issue. And as a result, some have been linked with moves away lately.

Tchouameni falls under that category. The Frenchman had made a bright start to life at Real Madrid, but his form faded away in the second half of the campaign. So much so that he lost his status as a nailed on starter in Carlo Ancelotti’s side and found himself on the bench in most of the big games.

There does not seem to be any lack of interest in the French international despite that though. As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Arsenal have now tabled a €90 million offer for Tchouameni.

Arsenal are on the lookout for another midfielder. They have been linked with both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia in recent weeks as well, but it appears that Tchouameni is also very much on their radar.

Tchouameni joined Real Madrid just last summer from AS Monaco for a transfer package around €100 million. While he showed flashes of brilliance and did very well in the early parts of the season, he struggled to match those performances after the World Cup break and eventually lost his regular spot in the starting XI.

Even then, it might be a bit too early to part ways with Tchouameni. The Frenchman deserves another season to prove himself. But then, we know that Real Madrid are a club open to letting players go for the right offer.
