Harry Kane is expected to be on the move this summer and has been linked with several clubs, including Real Madrid. The England national team captain has been one of the best strikers in the world for years now but that has not been enough to bring him silverware. With his contract with Tottenham Hotspur running out in the summer of 2024 though, it looks like an exit might finally happen in this window.

Tottenham Hotspur have very few options, as it does not look like Kane will extend his stay at the London club. They either transfer him this summer or risk seeing him walk out as a free agent a year later.

Real Madrid could certainly do with someone like Kane, after Karim Benzema’s exit has left them without a world-class striker to lead the line. There were plenty of rumours early on in the window about a move for the Englishman, but they have faded away lately.

Instead, it looks like Bayern Munich have emerged as the favourites to sign Kane. And it appears that the Tottenham Hotspur superstar has made up his mind as well.

As tweeted out by Florian Plettenberg, Kane only wants to join Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are in direct contact with Tottenham Hotspur. A new offer is still planned.

It remains to be seen how things play out. But it does feel like Kane joining Bayern Munich is very possible, considering his contract situation at Tottenham Hotspur.

Someone like Kane could have been perfect for Real Madrid. But with no real buzz around the move anymore, it does feel like the club have distanced themselves for the transfer saga. Now, it remains to be seen if they do end up adding a world-class striker to their ranks this summer or go into next season with Joselu as first-choice number 9.
