Real Madrid have been linked with plenty of players in recent times but they have not been as active in the summer transfer window as expected. Lack of depth was a serious issue for Los Blancos last season and they have seen Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz leave recently.
On the other hand, the club have brought in Jude Bellingham, Fran Garcia and Joselu. Brahim Diaz will be like a new signing as well, even though he has been a Real Madrid player since 2019, as he spent the previous three seasons on loan at AC Milan.
Those are some pretty solid additions for Real Madrid. Yet, they do not seem enough for the club to compete on all three fronts next season.
There is a feeling though that Real Madrid are trying to build something long-term here and don’t just have next season on their mind. And they seem to be keeping an eye on one of Liverpool’s signings from this summer.
Real Madrid remain interested in £60 million Liverpool player
As reported by Defensa Central (via HITC), Real Madrid will continue to monitor Dominik Szoboszlai at Liverpool. The Reds signed the Hungarian international for a £60 million transfer fee just a few days back.
The 22-year-old did a very good job at RB Leipzig over the past few years. Now, it remains to be seen how he does at Liverpool.
If Szoboszlai proves to be a success at Liverpool, then it is possible to see him in a Real Madrid jersey some day. It won’t be anytime in the near future though, as the Reds have signed him on a five-year deal just recently.
Los Blancos need to make more additions this summer itself. They are lacking a world-class striker to lead the line, a long-term solution at right-back and options on both wings.
