Real Madrid have built up a glittering reputation for themselves in recent years, when it comes to signing wonderkids from around the world and developing them into first-team starters under their watchful eye at Santiago Bernabeu. Fede Valverde, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Eduardo Camavinga, all arrived as teenagers and have gone to become superstars.
Now, it looks like Real Madrid are closing in on the signing of another wonderkid. And he has been dubbed ‘The Turkish Messi’, which will only raise expectations.
Arda Guler currently plays for Fenerbahce. But it looks like his time at the Turkish club might be coming to an end very soon. He has been linked with Barcelona as well as several Premier League teams, but it looks like Real Madrid are his most likely destination.
As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have submitted an improved bid for Guler. It is more than the release clause, around €20 million. Sources expect Fenerbahce to accept the offer.

Guler is a top talent without doubt. Even at 18 years of age, he has already made an impact at the senior level for Fenerbahce. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 9 goals and provided 12 assists in 51 appearances for the club.
Those are impressive numbers for a player of his age and experience. And it is not hard to see why so many clubs are after his signature. Signing someone with Guler’s potential for a €20 million fee could be a bargain in the long run.
If things go according to expectations, then Guler looks set to end up at Real Madrid, adding to the roster of impressive young talent that the club have. Things are not over the line yet though. So, we can only wait and see how things play out.
