The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga is starting to heat up now and he has never looked closer to leaving PSG than he does now, not even last year when he was applauded by Real Madrid fans at Santiago Bernabeu. It has emerged that the Frenchman does not intend to extend his contract with the Ligue 1 champions.
Mbappe’s current deal runs until the summer of 2024. PSG seem determined in their stance as well though.
PSG want Mbappe to either extend his contract with the club over the coming weeks or leave this summer. Thus, the Frenchman has a decision to make and unsurprisingly, a move to Real Madrid is being doing the rounds of the rumour mill as well.
As reported by Geo News, journalist Ramon Alvarez has revealed that Mbappe has turned down three new contract offers from PSG. The club is aiming to transfer him instantly.
PSG hand Mbappe transfer boost to Real Madrid
Of course, a lot will depend on Mbappe as well. He has to agree a move for any transfer to take place. But then, him staying on at PSG if they do not want him at the club any longer, would not be the ideal situation for anyone.
Thus, it will be very interesting to see how things play out over the coming weeks. But PSG being open to Mbappe leaving will certainly make any potential transfer much easier to pull off.
Despite the complicated relationship between the two sides, there have been suggestions that PSG are ready to listen to offers from everyone. And that certainly is another boost for Real Madrid’s hopes.
The Mbappe to Real Madrid saga has gone on for years but it could finally come to an end soon. Of course, nothing should be taken for granted until we see the Frenchman in the Royal White jersey.
