The cat is finally out of the bag when it comes to Carlo Ancelotti’s future, as the Italian will be appointed the new manager of the Brazil national team next summer after his current deal with Real Madrid comes to an end. He has achieved everything in the club game till now and let’s see what he can do at the international level. Before that, he still has one campaign to go at Santiago Bernabeu.

Ancelotti had a very successful first season back at Real Madrid, winning the La Liga and Champions League double. However, the previous campaign was lacklustre in comparison. The team played very inconsistently throughout, although they succeeded in winning the Copa del Rey.

Real Madrid will have to find a new manager after the conclusion of the 2023/24 season. And it looks like they already have their eyes on a few.

As reported by El Debate, in the main list of candidates to manager Real Madrid, three names stand out: Xabi Alonso, Jurgen Klopp and Raul. Julian Nagelsmann is the fourth possibility and Alvaro Arbeloa is the fifth choice.

Klopp is believed to have been a Real Madrid target for a long time. His style of football and his ability to develop youngsters is valued very highly. He has been at Liverpool since 2015 and that cycle could be coming to an end soon, and Los Blancos might be looking to take advantage of the situation.

Alonso could be a very interesting choice. He took over at Bayer Leverkusen in the middle of last season and has made his impact felt in the Bundesliga. The fact that he played for Real Madrid could work in his favour as well.

Raul is the least experienced of the three, although he had a fantastic season with Castilla, almost guiding them to promotion. And we have seen in the past how well Zinedine Zidane did when given the job, despite never having managed a club beforehand.

So, it would be a mistake to rule the Spaniard out because of his inexperience. Nagelsmann and Arbeloa seem to be outside candidates as well.
