Real Madrid serious about €200 million move this summer
Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe for years now. On a few occasions, it has looked close as well but never materialised. That could very possibly change this summer though. PSG seem determined not to let the Frenchman’s contract run out. His current deal runs till the summer of 2024.
Thus, PSG want Mbappe to extend his contract or to leave this summer itself, so that they do not lose out on a major transfer fee. It will be interesting to see how things turn out for him.
If Mbappe does leave this summer, which is looking very possible right now, then Real Madrid look like his most likely destination. Some have wondered though whether the club would make a blockbuster offer for the Frenchman now or prefer to wait another year in hopes of signing him as a free agent.
As tweeted out by Rudy Galetti, Real Madrid are on the verge of starting talks with PSG for Mbappe. Los Blancos are serious again about the Frenchman. Despite the huge amount required for the move, the club would like to close the deal quickly, by the end of July.
Real Madrid serious about €200 million move this summer
Real Madrid are in need of a centre-forward now, following Karim Benzema’s exit. Thus, this might be the perfect time to make a move for Mbappe.
While he seems to be at his best while playing from the left, that position is occupied by Vinicius Jr in the Real Madrid line up. And Mbappe has been playing more centrally for PSG for a while now.
PSG are rumoured to be looking for a transfer fee around €200 million, if not more, to part ways with Mbappe this summer despite there only being a year left on his contract. Let’s see if Real Madrid make an offer of that magnitude for the French World Cup winner.
