Real Madrid are being linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe once again this summer, and the Frenchman’s PSG exit looks closer now than it has ever before. It has emerged that he does not want to extend his current contract, which runs until the summer of 2024. On the other hand, the Ligue 1 champions have a clear view of the matter as well.

PSG want Mbappe to either extend his contract over the coming weeks or leave the club this summer so that they do not miss out on an important and significant transfer fee. Now, the World Cup winner has a decision to make.

Of course, if Mbappe leaves PSG then they would need to find a replacement as well. And the French giants appear to have a couple of players in their sights.

As reported by BILD (via 90min), PSG are braced for Mbappe’s departure this summer. They are looking to sign either Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford or Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani.

Both Rashford and Kolo Muani are coming off of exceptional individual campaigns. The Manchester United forward had arguably the best season of his career. On the other hand, the French international has emerged as one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe with his performances for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Of course, this is a boost for Real Madrid’s chances to land Mbappe this summer. There have been conflicting rumours about their interest in the Frenchman though.

Some have suggested that the club are ready to shell out a blockbuster fee to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu this summer itself. Others have claimed that Real Madrid have no plans to sign Mbappe in this window and will look to sign him as a free agent in 2024 instead.
