Real Madrid must be keeping a close eye on the situation at Paris Saint-Germain this summer, as it is possible that Kylian Mbappe could leave the Ligue 1 champions in this window. If that happens, the Spanish capital does look like his most likely destination. On the other hand, it appears that the French club might potentially hold an interest in one of Los Blancos’ players as well.

Real Madrid might not be coming off of a spectacular 2022/23 campaign but one player who was individually very good is Thibaut Courtois. After a tough start at Santiago Bernabeu, the Belgian has developed into arguably the best goalkeeper in the world.

He is unquestionably a nailed on starter for Real Madrid at this point of time and potentially a future captain of the club as well. But it looks like the Belgian’s performances have caught the eye of new Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique.

As reported by Defensa Central (via Tribuna), Enrique wants Paris Saint-Germain to sign Courtois. It is believed that the manager is not convinced with Gianluigi Donnarumma’s on-the-ball qualities.

To be very honest, it is hard to see Real Madrid letting go of Courtois this summer or anytime soon for that matter. The Belgian is pretty much an undroppable in Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

At 31 years of age, Courtois is very much in the middle of his prime as a goalkeeper and performing at the very highest level. Thus, it would make very little sense for Real Madrid to part ways with him at this point of time. Rarely have the club done that.

But then, nobody could have expected Casemiro to leave Real Madrid last summer and he did end up joining Manchester United. So nothing should every be ruled out when it comes to football.
