Real Madrid have followed an interesting transfer policy in recent years. They have moved away from making Galactico signings and have instead focused on signing some of the most highly-rated young talents from around the world and developing them at Santiago Bernabeu. This strategy has led to them turning Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Fede Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga into first-team starters.

It does not mean that they have not brought in experienced players like Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba. But they have arrived as free agents and not as blockbuster signings.

At the same time, the club have not been opposed to letting key players go as well, if the right offer is on the table. Casemiro’s move to Manchester United last summer is a prime example of that.

As a result, nobody’s future at Real Madrid can be considered certain. And one player who has been heavily linked with a move away is Aurelien Tchouameni.

Real Madrid reject approaches from Chelsea and Arsenal

As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all made approaches for Tchouameni. But Real Madrid have rejected their advances, as they do not want to let the French midfielder go.

It was just last summer that Real Madrid signed Tchouameni from AS Monaco in a blockbuster move. He made a bright start to life at Santiago Bernabeu but as the season progressed, his form appeared to fade away. By the end of the campaign, he had lost his status as a nailed on starter in Carlo Ancelotti’s side and found himself sitting on the bench in most of the big games.

Despite Tchouameni’s inconsistent debut campaign, it might be too early to give up on the youngster. At the end of the day, it was his first season playing league football outside France and that too at a club like Real Madrid.
