Real Madrid need a striker right now, with Karim Benzema leaving the club at the end of last season in order to join Al-Ittihad. It was an unexpected exit in many ways, as it was initially thought that the Frenchman would stay on for another year. As a result, Los Blancos have lost their main source of goals over the past five seasons.
Real Madrid have brought in Joselu this summer on a season-long loan deal. It does not feel like the Spaniard is the man to lead the line for Los Blancos though, and would be more suited to being the cover option.
The club also have Alvaro, who has shown a lot of promise in the few appearances that he has made. But at the end of the day, he is 19 years of age and it is important to give the time to develop further.
Thus, Real Madrid could do with a striker capable of leading the line for them next season. And one player that they have been linked with heavily is Dusan Vlahovic. There is some positive news in that regard as well, as it looks like Juventus are open to parting ways with him as well.
Real Madrid handed Vlahovic transfer boost
As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have sent a €37.5 million plus €2.5 million transfer bid to Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku. But it is only valid if they part ways with Vlahovic.
Thus, it seems that Juventus already have a plan in place, in the scenario that Vlahovic departs. So, it feels like the Italian club are open to the prospect of the Serbian striker leaving, after he has failed to meet expectations in Turin.
Juventus were believed to have shelled out an €81 million transfer package to sign Vlahovic from Fiorentina. But according to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 23 goals and provided 6 assists in 63 appearances for them till now.
