The Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid transfer saga has been going on for years now. It is no secret that the Frenchman grew up a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and Los Blancos. And he has always seemed destined to make a move to Santiago Bernabeu. That has never materialised for one reason or the other though.
This summer, Mbappe has looked closer to the PSG exit door than anytime in the past. The Ligue 1 champions have made it clear that they want him to sign a contract extension or leave in the ongoing transfer window.
It is not difficult to understand PSG’s stance. Mbappe’s current deal runs out in the summer of 2024 and they do not want to lose him as a free agent.
Unsurprisingly, there have been rumours about a move to Real Madrid. But it looks like PSG are leaving no stone unturned in their effort to make sure he signs a new deal and stays in the French capital.
Mbappe reportedly offered €1 billion deal to reject Real Madrid move
As reported by Defensa Central (via GOAL), PSG have made an unbelievable offer to Mbappe. It is a 10-year contract on the table worth €1 billion.
If Mbappe is to agree such a contract, it would run until he is 34 years of age. That would be the majority of his career and a future move to Real Madrid would become pretty much impossible under those circumstances.
It remains to be seen how things play out in the Mbappe transfer saga from here on forward. There have been plenty of twists and turns over the years, and people should expect a few more.
If Mbappe was to leave PSG, this summer or the next one, Real Madrid seems like his most likely destination. He has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal as well.
